I offer an exciting
programme of monthly outings to
some of the region's top birding
locations, without the crowds.
Each day is designed to be an
opportunity to enjoy a fully
guided, leisurely walk, with
Chris pointing out interesting
natural features, and of course
the birds! I aim to leave
Eastwood by car or minibus at
8.45am and leave each venue
around 4.30 - 5.30pm. These
Friday trips are just £20 per
person. (£22 from January 2009)

These trips are open
to anyone with an interest in the
outdoors and able to walk 3 miles
or so, at a gentle pace. As well
as enjoying the scenery and
flowers, we hope to spot a
variety of special birds as the
programme of Day Breaks
visits a range of habitats
including: freshwater, coastal,
farmland, woodland, marshland and
upland.
What the price
includes:
All guiding, with access to a 20
- 60X scope, free return
transport from Eastwood, but not
meals or reserve entrance fees
(however most venues are free
entry).
How to reach me:
I live right in the centre of
Eastwood and so am easily
accessible by public transport
from Nottingham, Ripley, Derby
and Hucknall. I also have parking
for 8 vehicles. Pick ups can be
arranged on route or from Langley
Mill Railway Station.
