I
offer an exciting programme of monthly outings to some
of the region's top birding locations, without the
crowds. Each day is designed to be an opportunity to
enjoy a fully guided, leisurely walk, with Chris
pointing out interesting natural features, and of course
the birds! I aim to leave Eastwood by car or minibus at
8.45am and leave each venue around 4.30 - 5.30pm. These
Friday trips are just £20 per person. (£22 from January
2009)

These trips are open to anyone with an interest
in the outdoors and able to walk 3 miles or so, at a
gentle pace. As well as enjoying the scenery and
flowers, we hope to spot a variety of special birds as
the programme of Day Breaks visits a range of
habitats including: freshwater, coastal, farmland,
woodland, marshland and upland.
What the
price includes: All guiding, with access to a 20
- 60X scope, free return transport from Eastwood, but
not meals or reserve entrance fees (however most venues
are free entry).
How to reach
me: I live right in the centre of Eastwood and so
am easily accessible by public transport from
Nottingham, Ripley, Derby and Hucknall. I also have
parking for 8 vehicles. Pick ups can be arranged on
route or from Langley Mill Railway Station.
Interested? Then please complete the
booking form. I will then email details of where to send
your cheque. Once payment is received I will send an
acknowledgement, details of the lunchtime plan for each
particular day and what you should bring, as well as
directions to Eastwood and an estimated cost of any
entrance fees.
I welcome both
beginners and experienced birdwatchers to all the
trips.
Each Day
Break is a small group experience - so don't
delay!
