By the end of this productive trip we had seen everything from the tiny Zitting Cisticola to the mighty Spanish Imperial Eagle, including some real stars like Black-necked Grebe, Night and Squacco Herons, Great White Egret, Glossy Ibis, Black and White Storks, Spoonbill, Flamingo, Red-crested Pochard, White-headed Duck, Griffon Vulture, Booted Eagle, Purple Gallinule, Crested Coot, Common Crane, Audouin's Gull, Great Spotted Cuckoo, Hoopoe, Calandra Lark, Bluethroat, Subalpine and Sardinian Warblers, Penduline Tit, Short-toed Treecreeper, Southern Grey Shrike, Azure-winged Magpie, Spotless Starling, Spanish Sparrow, Serin and a show stopping Black-winged Kite.
