We expected a staggering number of birds on this trip and that's exactly what we found, with birds in their thousands! This Dutch birding bonanza included huge numbers of Greylag, Barnacle and White-fronted Geese and big flocks of Avocet, Curlew, Lapwing, Golden Plover and Starling. Bittern, Great Egret, Goshawk, Rough-legged Buzzard, Hen Harrier, White-tailed Eagle, Bewick's Swan, Bean and Cackling Canada Geese, Ruddy Shelduck, Red-crested Pochard, Water Pipit and Brambling also starred, with cracking views of Bearded and Crested Tits, Ferruginous Duck and Snow Bunting.
