African Pygmy Geese, African Fish Eagles, Green Pigeons, Verreaux’s Eagle Owl, Giant and Pied Kingfishers, Rollers galore, Violet Turacos, Bearded Barbets, Abyssinian Ground Hornbills, Yellow-crowned Gonoleks, dazzling Sunbirds and Glossy Starlings. Just a few tantalising reminders of our impressive 214 total.

But we had more, the sunshine, the scenery, the fireworks on the beach on New Year’s Eve, the visit to the school in the bush and the friendly local people with their vibrant culture and tough lifestyle, world’s away from our own.This was the complete Gambian Experience.
