Leighton
Moss & Caerlaverock
Passing
the snow clad Lake District fells, our trip north of the border to Caerlaverock
did not disappoint, with the spectacle of restless flocks of Barnacle
Geese in their thousands. Other highlights here included dozens of posing
Yellowhammers and a lone Peregrine Falcon. Next day in the Leighton Moss
area we added super views of numerous male Bullfinches, a Snipe, a Goldeneye
drake and both Coal and Marsh Tits.
