This coast really is a fantastic place for birds and seals. As well as cuddly white pups within stroking distance and big daddies cavorting about, we enjoyed plum views of Twite, Skylark and Meadow, Rock and Water Pipits. Other highlights included Avocet, Whooper Swan, Pink-footed Goose, Red-throated Diver, a big raft of Common Scoter, thousands of waders wheeling like clouds of flies and a couple of Red-breasted Geese amongst hundreds of Brents. All this plus gourmet meals and brain tickling after dinner quizzes.
