Norfolk
~ Coast & Breckland
Despite
a poor forecast, we enjoyed two sunny days and some top quality birding.
While enjoying several Hobbies dashing over Lakenheath Fen, a passing
Osprey was a wonderful bonus. Meanwhile the tranquil Breckland landscape
produced a beautifully bright Yellow Wagtail and superb views of Stone
Curlews with their big yellow eyes. A visit to Titchwell added plenty of
body to our list, including a wader fest with everything from Little Stint
to Black-winged Stilt, and a final fling at Holme Dunes netted a lovely
posing Red-backed Shrike.
