The beautiful Northumberland coast was alive with birds such as Eider, Wigeon, Gannet, Puffin, Kittiwake, Common, Arctic and Sandwich Terns and even dainty Little Gulls, with Turnstone, Sanderling and Curlew Sandpiper in smart breeding plumage. Songsters included Stonechat and Yellow Wagtail plus Meadow Pipit, Skylark, Linnet, Reed Bunting and Sedge Warblers galore and an amazing Grasshopper Warbler singing in full view right under our noses! Inland, lovely walking country added Dipper, Grey Wagtail, Tree Pipit, Whinchat, handsome singing Siskin and a posing Spotted Flycatcher.
